Radiesse ® Dermal Filler

Radiesse ® (calcium-hydroxyapatite) dermal filler is a form of natural collagen induction therapy. This is what sets it apart from other ‘fillers’ that merely volumize. Radiesse ®  is different from the hyularonic acid filler families. It is a collagen inducing bio-stimulator. The particular quality of Radiesse ® generates a response by our fibroblast cells to produce more of our own natural collagen (Type I in particular is up 61% at 4 months) and increases the amount of elastin in the extracellular matrix. In some areas it out-performes Voluma.

Collagen is the main structural protein in our skin. It is what helps it feel and look tight, taught, and youthful. Production of collagen slows down with age, subsequently causing skin to sag.

Treatment with Radiesse ® dermal filler helps reduce the appearance of deeper facial wrinkles and folds. In addition, it is well suited for facial contouring and it addresses volume and bony deficits. Radiesse ^® also treats the backside of the hands, pushing back against an excessively crêpey and or veiney appearance . There, as a result it creates a more youthful look. Finally, it addresses laxity of the upper arms, near elbows and knees, the abdomen and buttocks.

Radiesse ® is comprised of calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres suspended in an aqueous gel carrier.

Upon injection it provides immediate volume correction. Then it continues to work by stimulating the body’s own natural collagen production for a generally long-lasting effect. Over time, the gel gets absorbed and the body metabolizes the CaHA microspheres, consequently leaving only new natural collagen!

Radiesse ® +  is pre-mixed with lidocaine thereby adding comfort during injection.
