"Dear Dr. Robben, Linda et al, I have recovered very nicely from my laser treatment. I just wanted to send you a note and thank you again for your time and care in June and over the years. It is a little embarrassing to want to look better, but you make me feel positive about it. With my 60th birthday this Tuesday, I feel good."
"I have been coming to this location for 9 years now. As my hormones changed and my hair growth increased, it was treated with the utmost care and attention. I actually commute 2.5hours this location as I moved since I started my treatment, bc that's how much I trust Mind Your Skin. Very effective results. Healthier, Younger-Looking Skin in the Philadelphia Area
Chemical peels in Philadelphia, PA & Havertown, PA at Mind Your Skin are ideal for both women and men seeking healthier, refreshed-looking skin without surgery and often without significant downtime. The team offers options that suit any skin type, varying strengths and depths for a range of cosmetic concerns.
The Mind Your Skin estheticians spend one-on-one time with each patient in order to determine which peel will deliver the desired results. Chemical peels don’t necessarily have to cause red and irritated skin. There are different peels that, in a series, can have great results. Everyday life goes on un-interrupted with a micro-exfoliation but no visible irritation! We call them our ‘go-and-low’ or ‘runway’ peels
Chemical Peel Details
Though each peel has its own unique focus, all chemical peels work the same way. A fruit, plant, or other acid-based solution goes directly onto the skin and isleft for a predetermined amount of time. In the days after a session, the outermost layers of skin will gently micro-exfoliate, flake, or “peel” away. Since fine lines, spots, and other blemishes show on the surface, removing that layer reduces the severity of such signs. This includes signs of acne, aging, and sun damage. The younger skin uncovered is smoother and rejuvenated, with healthier cells that reveal fewer indications of aging. Fine lines and wrinkles, uneven skin texture, acne scarring, and unwanted pigmentation improve.
Modern peels make advancements in both efficacy and comfort. They produce beautiful results with less disruption to daily living, with less social downtime needed after a session. Generally the skin will be red and somewhat sensitive, reminiscent of a mild sunburn. This depends on the choice of chemical peel. Redness can last from 20 minutes to a few hours to possibly several days, again depending on the peel. There can be some visible exfoliation (“flaking”) as well. Well-chosen skin care products maintain peel results.
Other than the face, areas where aging and sun damage can create problems—the hands, neck, chest, and eyelids—can also be targeted.
