"Dear Dr. Robben, Linda et al, I have recovered very nicely from my laser treatment. I just wanted to send you a note and thank you again for your time and care in June and over the years. It is a little embarrassing to want to look better, but you make me feel positive about it. With my 60th birthday this Tuesday, I feel good."
"I have been coming to this location for 9 years now. As my hormones changed and my hair growth increased, it was treated with the utmost care and attention. I actually commute 2.5hours this location as I moved since I started my treatment, bc that's how much I trust Mind Your Skin. Very effective results. Highly recommend!!"- SJ, Google Reviews, Summer 2018

Refresh Your Look in Havertown and the Philadelphia Area
The factors that cause imperfections in the skin vary from person to person, with one seeing prominent wrinkles and folds from age-related volume loss, another watching spots develop and darken due to sun exposure, and yet another wishing the redness of rosacea and visible veins would fade. Laser skin rejuvenation in Philadelphia & Havertown at Mind Your Skin addresses any of these imperfections and more, working to treat cosmetic problems at the surface level, or in deeper layers of the skin.
Dr. Norbertus Robben has chosen a range of laser and other devices that offer multi-layered approaches, providing treatment for a wide range of conditions. The best way to determine how to move forward is to meet for a complimentary consultation and discuss your specific cosmetic concerns and goals.
Laser skin rejuvenation can involve non-ablative devices, requiring little or no downtime. Ablative lasers target deeper layers while also removing cells from the surface in order to promote vigorous exfoliation and improve the look of the skin. Ablative lasers require some downtime for healing after a treatment.
In either case, the goal is to trigger a response that promotes the production of new surface cells, collagen, and other beneficial effects that give the skin a more youthful look.
What Can Laser Skin Rejuvenation Treat?
Laser skin rejuvenation can be used for a large number of issues, such as to reduce brown spots and other effects of sun damage, the appearance of “broken” capillaries, the redness of chronic rosacea, age-related collagen loss and laxity contributing to “jowls” and “turkey neck,” minor acne scarring, fine lines and wrinkles, large pores, and texture irregularities—depending on the laser used. Talk with the Mind Your Skin team in Philadelphia & Havertown to determine which device is ideal based on the problem to be addressed.

Laser Skin Rejuvenation with ActiveFX™
In addition to the strong skin resurfacing and tissue tightening results achieved with ActiveFX CO2, it also renders skin healthier by building up collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid to improve overall skin quality and appearance. In addition to some immediate tightening, this solution reduces wrinkles and fine lines, and also improves skin tone and texture over time. The high-energy laser beam is applied in a fractional pattern, allowing for faster healing. It is the only laser rejuvenation treatment combining texture, tone (unwanted pigmentation), and tightening in one procedure, and as such remains the gold standard to date. It also has an impressive safety record and can even be used on the eyelids.
In addition to the very strong skin tightening results achieved with Profound, this radiofrequency microneedling technique renders skin healthier by rebuilding collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid, which improves overall skin quality and appearance. Profound was bestowed the industry-leading “New Treatment of the Year” award by the Global Aesthetics Awards for 2018. (See more on Profound on our skin tightening page.)
A unique non-ablative light treatment, Laser Genesis, like a “warm paintbrush,” gently heats the layer beneath the surface to spur formation of cross-linked collagen for smoother texturized, firmer, and tighter skin with fewer lines, smaller pores, and less redness, such as what is seen in rosacea. Patients find that their overall complexion improves to be more vibrant, all without the need for the recovery time associated with ablative treatments. Laser Genesis can truly be considered a lunchtime treatment, for it has no downtime. The most common approach is three to five treatments with an annual booster treatment. It is one of the safest laser procedures out there!
Skin Rejuvenation with LimeLight IPL
LimeLightFacial™ by Cutera® is not a laser per se, but uses non-invasive intense pulsed light (IPL) to balance unwanted skin tones (redness and/or pigmentation) on areas typically exposed to the sun: the face, neck, hands, arms, and upper chest. LimeLight is tunable to your skin type and pigment issues: It can focus on red to brown or a balance between the two. One to three treatments usually suffice. The results can be exceptional skin revitalization and can be improved further by combining LimeLight with other treatments.
Laser Skin Rejuvenation with Pearl Fractional Er:YSGG by Cutera®
Pearl Fractional by Cutera® is a fractionated single-treatment anti-aging laser. It addresses deep-set imperfections and tired/weathered skin in one treatment session requiring moderate downtime. Pearl Fractional is used to improve skin wrinkles, sun-induced hyperpigmentation, enlarged pores, irregular texture, and acne scarring.
Laser Skin Rejuvenation with the Erbium Laser
The fractionated erbium laser generates effects that can best be described as a “laser peel.” While a chemical peel uses specially formulated topical solutions to exfoliate the surface of the skin, revealing new skin beneath, a similar benefit can be generated by the application of laser energy going a little deeper than a peel. Erbium laser resurfacing is good for surface-level lines and wrinkles on the face, hands, neck, or chest and can improve unwanted skin-tones from sun-induced aging. Because of the range of settings and the specific wavelengths used, downtime is less on average compared with deeper peels. An Erbium treatment can be maintained by peels at periodic intervals.

Additional Treatments to Complement Laser and Other Skin Rejuvenation at Mind Your Skin
Concentrated blood plasma contains numerous growth factors that easily penetrate into the skin via the microchannels made by various laser and other treatments. This protein and platelet-rich plasma (PRP) enhances your results by promoting cellular regeneration and production of collagen, as well as structural proteins, and also effectively reduces downtime. You may opt for PRP with ActiveFX, Profound, ErbiumFX, PearlFractional, and SkinPen microneedling procedures, transforming a small amount of your own blood into a booster treatment administered immediately afterward.
