"Dear Dr. Robben, Linda et al, I have recovered very nicely from my laser treatment. I just wanted to send you a note and thank you again for your time and care in June and over the years. It is a little embarrassing to want to look better, but you make me feel positive about it. With my 60th birthday this Tuesday, I feel good."
"I have been coming to this location for 9 years now. As my hormones changed and my hair growth increased, it was treated with the utmost care and attention. I actually commute 2.5hours this location as I moved since I started my treatment, bc that's how much I trust Mind Your Skin. Very effective results. Highly recommend!!"- SJ, Google Reviews, Summer 2018

Improve your Gynecological Health, Sense of Well-Being, and Confidence in Havertown, Main Line, PA and the Greater Philadelphia Area
Just as using a laser to stimulate fresh collagen production can have a beneficial effect on visible skin, the treatment can also work to accomplish vaginal rejuvenation. In the Philadelphia area, Havertown’s Mind Your Skin team carefully selected the Juliet system previously available only in Canada, France, Spain, Switzerland, Belgium, Luxemburg, and the Netherlands. It is an fractional erbium laser that provides safe (NO reported adverse events since its introduction into the U.S. market) and effective results with minimal to no down time. In particular, it addresses problems with intimate health and stress urinary incontinence. Tissue laxity can lead to dryness and sensation loss during sex. Loss of bladder control with coughing or sneezing, squatting and/or jumping happens to one in three women. This is not really a bladder problem perse, but a weakness in urethral closure or sealing ability (the connection channel to the outside).
The video further below has a nice visualization of the urethra and surrounding tissues and also demonstrates the optional exterior treatment application. Asclepion is the German maker, Cutera the US laser company that markets the Juliet treatment.
A Juliet vaginal rejuvenation session is designed to be gentle, effective, and discreet. There are no incisions or sutures, so the treatment can be completed in as little as 15 minutes, and there are no cuts to heal. These benefits make it an attractive option for women who want to counter unwanted changes in their intimate wellness due to childbirth, aging, hormonal changes of menopause, and cancer treatments. The treatment is performed by a trained and experienced female member (Kim) of our staff.
There are several hand-pieces available to customize a Juliet vaginal rejuvenation session, but they all work in generally the same way. The device sends light below the surface, impacting hundreds of tiny points in the tissue at once. The energy triggers cells to create new collagen.
Collagen is a protein that plays several roles in the body. One of its primary features is its ability to make tissue simultaneously strong, resilient, and flexible. It also creates a matrix home for hyaluronic acid molecules, which readily bind with water molecules to keep tissues properly hydrated.
Since time ultimately causes both collagen and hyaluronic acid to break down faster than they can naturally be replaced, tissues can become dried out, less elastic, thin, and saggy. Restoring collagen and hyaluronic acid via vaginal rejuvenation addresses these problems by tightening and plumping the treated vaginal tissues and increasing moisture content in the area.
Collagen is produced gradually, so improvement in the vaginal tissues will unfold in the weeks and months after a treatment session. Results are typically long lasting. The collagen will eventually begin to break down again, and the vaginal rejuvenation treatment can be repeated as desired. The typical progression is two initial treatments followed by one annual maintenance treatment.

Since Juliet stimulates collagen production, it is ideal for addressing conditions that lead to laxity and dryness in the vaginal area. Such undesirable changes impacting optimal functioning are often due to hormone shifts and anti-hormone therapy, which may be triggered by menopause, pregnancy and childbirth, chemotherapy, and certain surgeries.
Ideal patients are those who want to strengthen a weakened pelvic floor, who want to address lubrication, feelings of discomfort or pain during intercourse, and stress incontinence. A separate hand-piece/application can treat the outside for discoloration or laxity as well (see video above).
Before deciding on any course of vaginal rejuvenation treatment, it is important to share any short- and long-term goals during a private consultation at Mind Your Skin. The FDA issued letters in August 2018 putting a number of manufacturers of similar devices on notice for essentially over-promising results. Cutera/Juliet was NOT among those who were warned! Again, there have been NO reported side-effect in the US market. We will ask questions and take desired results into consideration, then make a recommendation for a plan designed to help you achieve your goals. Other options include mesh or sling surgery, hormone replacement and herbal remedies. We also know (including from our own patients’ reporting back to us after switching from treatment elsewhere) that the Juliet system yields comparable or superior to other devices out there. We are the only office with a Juliet system in a range of well over 50 miles.
